Hi Jay, I have been following your ministerial work since you started on Youtube. I’m not into social media much but I learned of your podcast and have been catching up on all the episodes. You threw me for a loop when you said ” If you want to discover your true self, you must be willing to take a step back”. I went to college. I went to graduate school. I got a very good job with money and all sorts of benefits. Then something just started feeling…wrong. I’m now in the process of leaving this job and getting into something a little different. You saying “you must be willing to take a step back” brought me a little peace. I’m sure you understand the difficult lesson one learns regarding money and God (Mat.6:24) when faced with a decision of leaving one’s job to pursue ministry. I know you and Twila were talking about something slightly different but BOY did it fit right in with the dialogue in my mind about upcoming decisions. 🙂

PS- This was the first podcast I jumped into (don’t ask me why I didn’t at least start with part 1 of this conversation) and I was SO happy to hear you say “Deuces” at the end!

      Hey Miss Reese!

It means so much to still have your continued support. I really appreciate it more than you know.

Thank you for listening to the podcast. I’m glad you found value in the discussion with Twila and I hope you continue to enjoy the podcast.

I can totally relate to the experience you shared. It is very much like my journey has been.

It’s not easy to take a step back, but oftentimes it’s what we need to do.

Yes, Matthew chapter 6, especially verse 33, was a HUGE help for me when I made the decision to leave my career.

If you ever have any questions or just want to talk more about our experiences, feel free to contact me via email.

I believe that God led you to this episode for a reason. Thank you again for listen.

      God bless you!
